To follow up on my own post, I transfered a file to my notebook, which has a Mobile Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 - M CPU 2.40GHz in it, and the file plays back i mplayer but the audio is a little out of sync. Also the file plays in xine with no audio, totem can't play it at all, vlc plays it back smoothly, but with no audio.
