Okay, just when I said I would give up fixing my menu in Warty, I find
something new that may rasie new hopes, or at least shed some new
light .
Problem : when I righ-click on the menu to add new entries here and
there, they don't show up, no matter what.
BUUUUUT, I just had the curiosity to open a Nautilus windows at the
location "applicaitions:///". I was surprised... it shows that the menu
is FINE ! It shows the menu as it was before the accident, and it even
show all the entries I tired to re-create...several times ! So in the
multimedia menu for example, it show the original Rhythmbox icon created
by Warty originally, and also 3 more icons I added myself, thinking it
didn't work.
So, Nautilus shows that the menu is intact, that adding entries works.
But the menu applet somehow now refuses to take the reality into
consideration....
I did try removing the menu bar applet, but it didn't help at all.
I guess I should try to re-install whatever package it's contained in.
Maybe that will put things straight.
Anymore ideas, are welcome ! :-)
