Hello,

The latest round of updates to the 2.6.10-5-386 kernel have caused me a
few problems, i am now longer able to boot that kernel, and i'm now
stuck back with an old 2.6.10-2-386 kernel,

the error i am getting with that kernel is;

"Error 16: Inconsistent filesystem structure"

(that error is given by GRUB)

Here is the grub listing for that kernel;

title		Ubuntu, kernel 2.6.10-5-386
root		(hd0,0)
kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.10-5-386 root=/dev/hda1 ro quiet splash
initrd		/boot/initrd.img-2.6.10-5-386
savedefault
boot

both initrd.img-2.6.10-5-386 and vmlinuz-2.6.10-5-386 present, and the
'root' is set correctly (same settings work for 2.6.10-2-386).

here's the MD5's for them files just incase;

562a9f747839c9f8ec4b3b39934fd635  initrd.img-2.6.10-5-386
395040e78c714763503c98856cd24a02  vmlinuz-2.6.10-5-386

hopefully someone can help with that,

i'm running hoary, also my system is an i686, but it's using the 386
kernel, does this matter? (also how do i correct that?)

thanks!
