how to setup up start up programs

I thought all GNOMEs were created equal. Maybe Fedora's on a
different version.

Anyway, it's unintuitive, but here's what you do:

System menu ->
Preferences ->
Sessions ->
"Startup Programs" tab ->
"Add" button
