playing dvds in hoary

Ok, this worked in Warty just fine, but now trying to play dvds in Hoary
is resulting in mirrored vertical lines for almost half of the right
side of the image. I followed the restricted formats page in the wiki
and installed libdvdcss2. I've enabled dma on the drive. Not sure what's
going on here. 

Has anyone else seen this? Happening with Xine and Totem-xine.
