quasar accounting on ubuntu??

I have the same problem. I have installed the Quasar
1.4.6 and have everything running nicely, can create a company, but
then found I could not see the company when starting the client. This
was because I was not starting the server in root. When I do this I see
the companies, but cannot login to any of them using neither admin admin
or any of the passwords created on setup. If you have any further info I
will appreciate as well. I have a strong feeling this is to do with the
confusing security password levels between Firebird, Quasar and Ubuntu
and somewhere i am being locked out, but I am too ignorant with linux
to find this and hope some less mentally challenged person will solve
this!
