Download problem

I've just done a fresh install of Hoary and am trying to download the 
entire Unofficial Ubuntu 5.04 starter guide.
I click on the link from the forum and a firefox box pops up and 
informs(?) me:

XML Parsing error: not well formed
Location: chrome://mozapps/content/downloads/unknownContentType.xul
Line Number 1, Column 13;

_DS.Unassert(mimeSource, valueProperty, mimeLiteral, true) ;

What needs to be done in order to download from Firefox?
