Hmm, I think you are confused :|
I like the text at boot, but would really like a boot up logo. We are only
talking about a boot up logo that could be enabled disabled, I guess this
might make it a bit more complicated, although I think it won't :)
People can learn to use an enviroment where the Applications/Places/System
buttons are at the top, but hate the fact that a lot of text which is not
understood by the average user. I think that a boot up logo doesn't make
Ubuntu or any distro look stupid or dumb, doesn't mean that it has less
power. It's simply to make it look better.
I've been reading most of this thread and have found, IMO, some very stupid
comments on the topic.
