Pivoting Monitors (Viewsonic VP2000S)

I went down to Costco today and picked up a View Sonic VP2000S LCD
Monitor, with a pivot so it can display both your usual landscape screen
and portrait.  I was wondering if anyone has gotten Ubuntu, or any Linux
for that matter to respond to portrait mode?  Even if I have to click
somewhere to switch between Portrait and Landscape views, it'd be a
great plus.
