Hi all, first post here and worries about installation of 5.04

Hi all,
first post here, hope to get a warm welcome!

I'm planning to install Ubuntu 5.04 on my pc, where I'm currently
using a dual boot configuration XP / FC2.

I really cannot risk to mess up the PC and loosing my XP installation.
Never tried to install Ubuntu...So... any hint ?
