 apt-cache search wxwindows
 aptitude install wx2.5-doc
 cd /usr/share/doc/wx2.5-doc/

Does that help?  I think that wxgtk works fairly well, on Linux.  I've
seen a few apps that use it, and they look nice.  I've never seen it on
Windows, since I don't use that.
