This certainly works but I'll add a caveat: Sometimes this will kill
the lo (loopback). I did this on a plane a few weeks ago and it took me
a while to figure out why the dvd playback was so choppy. After I
entered 'sudo ifup lo' in a terminal, the dvd worked a lot better.
