	here goes my try:

douglas:~ $ jackd -d iirc
jackd: unknown driver 'iirc'
douglas:~ $ jackd -d IIRC
jackd: unknown driver 'IIRC'
douglas:~ $ jackd -d dummy
jackd 0.99.0

loading driver ..
