Battery doesn't work after Hoary upgrade

Hi,
After upgrading my laptop to Hoary 5.04 the battery stopped working.
Basically, the computer is fine when plugged in, but evidently no
power is getting to the machine, as it turns off when unplugged.
This is even stranger because dmesg shows the battery as being present
and the battery applet shows it as being charged 100% (when plugged
in, of course). I've tried various lapic/acpi configs while booting.
On shutdown it says the battery state is ok.
Any ideas would be immensely appreciated.
Sincerely
--Ian
Here is the output of dmesg (sorry for the length).
