Extremely slow CD ripping speed

I am using Sound Juicer to rip CDs. I have a relatively fast CD-ROM drive, and
when ripping with Windows Media Player in Windows, the speed is very very fast.
But when using Sound Juicer, I rip at 1.4x and it takes almost 30 minutes to rip
an audio disc.

Am I not doing something right? Thanks.
