"Stuttering" DVD Playback

Hello:

I am using Xine to playback DVDs. The problem I am having is that while playing
the DVD, there is a constant stuttering that occurs. This problem does not
happen in Windows but it is happening in my Ubuntu installation (and may or may
not happen in other Linux distributions--I would not know because I only have
Ubuntu installed).

Anyone have any tips on solving this problem? Thanks in advance.
