DVD burn speeds borked?

First, apologies for replying to myself...

Second, I get that error, but when I comment the line out (I'm using the 
command line version) and reboot, DMA is off when I come back. So I get the 
error, but it still turns DMA on. Go figure.

In any case, DMA is already on when I have the burning problems.
