i have the same problem. instead of accented characters, ?-s show up
i tried setting the default locale to hungarian, but it did not solve
the problem. plus, some applications and menus became hungarian, which
i _don't_ want.
on irc, i got the answer that this is (the first problem) because those
filenames are not in utf. but, they were created with Windows XP, and i
there i can't set which encoding should xp use... is there no way for
Ubuntu to display non-utf encodings correctly? is this a bug? or can
this be solved?
thanks for the help in advance.
