Modem Issues

I have recently installed Ubuntu Linux 5.04 on a
laptop (Dell Latitude C600) and am having a bear of a
time getting the modem to work.  It has a 3Com Mini
PCI Modem.  Have any of you installed or even found
drivers for this modem?
