Wal-Mart has these for about $20. It has a mini stereo plug and will plug into
any mini sound output jack, such as a sound card, etc.
It has 4 output frequencies you can select from and it really works great! You
plug it into your computer's sound card, select your frequency, then tune
your FM stereo to that frequency.
No software needed (or supplied). I use it to stream an internet radio station
to anywhere in my house. 30 feet is a conservative maximum range.
It runs on 2 AAA batteries. Radio Shack has a similar one that will run on
either batteries or it has a cigarette lighter jack for power, too.
