Ahoy There,
I had the "Error 18" message, immediately after GRUB began to load. I
then changed my harddisk mode from LBA to various other things:
AUTO: Error 18.
NORMAL: Error 18. ](*,)
LARGE: Absolutely nothing. (hangs where I would normal get Error
18 though...)
As I understand it, Error 18 has something to do with reading memory
space that, although exists, is unknown to GRUB. I am dualbooting
Win2000 and Ubuntu.
The partition for Ubuntu had only 1.2Gb, and the install CD claimed to
require only 350Mb for minimum install but 1.8Gb for everything.
Please help, it's a shared computer and people are angry at me for
installing Linux. :-|
