This tipped worked and Realplayer started to downstream and later I heard the fantastic WOMAD festival live.

No doubt more questions will appear as I keep trying in Linux, the various other things that I do fairly often in Windows.. 
Now, I wonder if there is an online banking program to replace Microsoft Money?
