java 1.5 AMD64 / fakeroot woes

fakeroot library.  What fakeroot did you install?  You stated that you
tried a couple Debian fakeroots, but did you try the official ubuntu
fakeroot?

Also, is there a reason you don't want the sun-j2re1.5 (or
sun-j2sdk1.5) package available in the repository I posted earlier?  Or
is this just a personal mission to get fakeroot to work?
