Root password

To apt-get or do any operation that requires root access you just type
sudo infront of the comand, thats all.

To enter root shell all you need to do is "sudo su"

If you prefer, you can also set a root password by getting into root
shell (above) and then changing password like you normaly would (why
would you want to though?).
