X drivers for Matrox G400 anyone?

Is anyone sitting on drivers for Matrox G400 that works with the X
server currently found in Hoary?

Matrox only releases binary versions supporting X.org 6.8.0 and 6.8.1.
The version in Hoary is 6.8.2 and no, the 6.8.1 doesn't work :-)

I'd be happy to compile it myself, if someone could confirm it's not too
much work (i.e. I don't have to recompile all of X as well).
