Skype software installer

Sometimes the solution is right before our eyes but...
 
I would love if someone could help me out installing skype in my kubuntu.
 
I try to run the commands but... the system asks for a password and upon executing the command an error occurs. I would really apreciate anyone who could stick with me with chat online just to point me in the right direction.  After that it's all practice.
 
Who wants to put up with me?  I will be on line again at 9pm GMT. Off course I will apreciate your devoted attention via this email list.

You needed the command line for that because you were installing it from
source code. Anything installed from .deb package you can do just that
by double clicking on it as long as the requirements are all met. You
can always try these instructions if you haven't already done so, it
worked for me without any problems.
