Problems printing in gnome

Hi all!

After upgrading some packages to the latest breezy I have been unable to
print with any gnome application. I have cups installed and printing
without problem postscript documents, but trying to print from gedit or
evolution or any gnome related program gives just lines in the paper
without any letters. I guess it must be some kind of font problem, so I
have tried to reinstall all the fonts, as well as my cups installation,
but it is still the same. Gedit gives me the following warnings:

gedit End_word_docs.txt

** (gedit:6732): WARNING **: gpa_transport_selector_rebuild_combo, could
not set value of Backend to lpr

** (gedit:6732): WARNING **: failed request with status 200

(gedit:6732): GnomePrintCupsPlugin-WARNING **: iconv does not support
ppd character encoding: MacStandard, trying CSISOLatin1

** (gedit:6732): WARNING **: failed request with status 200

(gedit:6732): GnomePrintCupsPlugin-WARNING **: iconv does not support
ppd character encoding: ISOLatin1, trying CSISOLatin1

(gedit:6732): GnomePrintCupsPlugin-WARNING **: Unknown Duplex setting ==
'Notcapable'

** (gedit:6732): WARNING **: failed request with status 200

and when I try to make a print preview it shows the pages with lines but
without text, the same as evolution. From the message I can see that
there must be some problem with encodings, but I can't find how to fix
it. I am lost on what else to try. Any hints/help?

Thanks in advance!
/Nacho
