Gnome panel wiped; how should I best restore the defaults?

Hi,

I've just managed to remove all the items from the upper Gnome panel.
(I don't know how; a friend clicked something while my back was
turned... The system was being used to play music for a party...
Alcohol had been consumed...)

I've been able to put the Custom Menu and clock back manually by right
clicking and using the add to panel dialogue, so there isn't a problem
rebuilding a useable panel.

My question; is there a method of restoring the installation defaults
for the (damaged) panel so that I have a standard base before adding my
own personal choice of applets?

Neil
