Nope, they are just examples, to show you how to do format the file.

Actually yesterday I meant to post about this file.... I added an option
in there, to stop one of my drive from spinning down all the time, but
it doesn't seem to be read at boot, as the drive still keeps spinning
down, forcing me to run hdparm by hand at the command line, as soon as I
am logged in. I guess I shall report a bug (it's in Breezy ie).
