I've had a similar issue with a specialized Xerox machine that I've
got. As there were drivers for linux I've used the HP LaserJet-4si
driver, which supports duplex printing. Duplex worked, however the
priniting now droped to a quarter of the pages per minute when
compared to printing from a Windows machine with a correct Xerox
driver.
Just tried my CUPS web admin interface, but logging in as root didn't
work, I think I may have altered this some while ago when I started
unsing Ubuntu and now forgot my password :( sorry, maybe someone else
will be of a bit more help there.
