Location and language(s)

Thanks for your input, people!

Your replies made it sound fairly simple, so I followed the
instructions in the thread "Specific language per login" and added
Norwegian and German.  FYI it wasn't enough to log out and back in
again to utilise a new language setup; I had to reboot the machine. 
But with that done, I can change language completely by logging off
and on again.  (Even if just clicking a button or something to do this
would be very neat, I don't think a new login is too much hassle.) 
And I've already seen that I can switch languages for the
spell-checker in OOo directly now.  Very satisfying; I'm happy with
this improvement!

As a side-thought I'm sure this way of handling all the languages you
wish can be a big selling-point for Ubuntu in Norway.  We're a small
country with very few people, so we have to be international to a
degree.  -And most Norwegians know at least one foreign language well.
 (English being most wide-spread, but German, French and Spanish are
all common as well.)
I'll check this out on my wife -a language teacher- right away.  ;-)
