nvu doesn't load up the help hyperlinks in any browser

Hello, I got nvu (www.nvu.com) the html editor.  Why doesn't the Help
window/section doesnt' properly load up in any browser? I am trying to
pinpoint the problem. Gimp's online help hyperlinks work fine, so I
don't think it's got anything to do with Preferences-->Preferred
Application.

The window that pops up when I choose one of the choices in the Help
Menu shows the ff:

Window (titled: External Protocol Request)

An external application must be launched to handle http:// links.

I press the "Launch Application" button, but nothing happens.
