I think that's true for Ubuntu as well.
Wouldn't it be a good idea if all backports packages fell nicely in
between Hoary and Breezy? E.g. by making sure versioning of each package
satisfied
hoary package < backports package < Breezy package
Doesn't sound like something that's impossible to achieve.
