Mirror administrators, help me improve my mirror!

I am the administrator of http://ubuntu.secs.oakland.edu. I used to sync
my mirror off of us.archive.ubuntu.com, but after the MD5 problems I
switched to archive.ubuntu.com.

I have my mirror syncing every 6 hours, as is recommended, but
occasionally it breaks due to a partial sync or some other error. My
mirroring command is as follows:

/usr/bin/rsync --verbose --progress --stats --compress --recursive
--times --perms --links --delete  rsync://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu
/mirror/ubuntu/

I am posting because I was wondering what other administrators are using
to update their mirrors and if there are some other best practices which
I might be missing. Perhaps there is a method which I'm missing? The
wiki is full of mirror information but the information on how to run a
mirror seems rather sparse.
