Hello, I am looking for a way to get on the IAX networks with a software
that will allow me to dial after i press the "dial/connect" button.
I have gotten Kiax (www.kiax.org <http://www.kiax.org>) and everything works
fine, but I can't input any more numbers after I hit the "connect/dial"
button.
To clarify this, I need this feature when I call up a switchboard. I need
this feature when I get the message like:
Hello. Press 1 to apply for a new membership. Press 2 for our current
promotions. Press 3 for Technical Support. Press 0 for a customer-service
agent.
Kiax won't allow me to input any more numbers after I hit dial.
I tried getting dtmfdial from ubuntu's repository. It works. But it doesn't
work when a call is in process. So when I do the command: dtmfdial 2 33. I
will only hear the tones after I "hang up".
Speaking about dtmf, I can hear the tones, but will the voip software "hear"
it?
To summarize, I'm seeking a way to input touch tones into my voip software.
and If there's anonther iax-server software-phone for ubuntu userrs, please
tell me. When I ask for a iax software phone, I mean any sofware where you
enter the IAX server name, your username and password (among other info).
Thanks.
jc
