Could anybody help me please???

Hi,
I've got a problem: when trying to boot my computer from the cd, ubuntu
doesn't recognize my dvd-driver (where i'm trying to run the cd from). I
have no drivers for the dvd for linux, I just have one cd with drivers for
windows. My computer is a laptop and does not have any floppy disk (only the
dvd).
What can I do?
