bug running ubuntu from cd

My BIOS is set to boot from CD first, and it *still* doesn't, so this is
no guarantee unfortunately.

Try to set in the bios (the screen that is displayed immediately after
turning the computer on) the order in which to boot. Most times you can
get to the menus after pressing a key like F1, F2 or del. You will have
to tell your computer to boot from the cd instead of the harddrive.
