I don't know what mandrakes chkconfig does, all that invoke-rc.d does is
invoking scripts in /etc/init.d

update-rc.d manages which script run in which initlevel. For Breezy a
GUI for this will be added. Until breezy is stable, BUM (see the 3rd
party section on the forums) is a usable GUI for foing this.
