<ehem> did i just said butt ugly, hmmm sorry - but i guess these are
personal preferences. among the desktops xfce is my favorite (next to
gnome and third is kde) but my admin would disagree since he prefers kde
over gnome - yet both of us are using enlightenment.  i just love the
watch on the desktop :)

now back to the issue, would it be better sir if there will be no
default desktop at all? say in the middle of the setup we let users
decide which WM or desktop to use. give them a list with icewm chosen as
default. give them Window maker, fluxbox, blackbox, afterstep, qvm etc.
