OK, I've downloaded the latest Dar (2.2.2) and compiled it, and then
tried to recompile KDar. This time, I've got a little further... The
error is as follows:

libtool: link: cannot find the library `/lib/libattr.la'

make[2]: *** [kdar] Error 1

make[2]: Leaving directory `/root/kdar-2.0.5/src'

make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1

make[1]: Leaving directory `/root/kdar-2.0.5'

make: *** [all] Error 2

this is the output of dar -V

dar version 2.2.2, Copyright (C) 2002-2052 Denis Corbin

Long options support : YES

Using libdar 3.0.2 built with compilation time options:

Large files support (> 2GB): YES

Help anyone? thanks.
