Gnome has the concept of sessions. So if you want to automatically start
your program when you login in Gnome, you can add it to the startup
programs. To do this, go to System -> Preferences -> Sessions. There,
the third tab says "Startup Programs". Click on it then click on Add.
Then either enter the name of the program you want to run or browse to
it. You can also assign it an order. I think this only refers to the
order in which these startup programs are actually started.
