Installing software in user friendly way

cd /usr/src (or whatever directory you'd like to keep your installers
and sources in)

tar -zxvf /home/renato/blahblah.tgz

ls -l 

cd blahblah...

ls -l

read the readme file (less README or INSTALL or whatever), follow the
instructions.
