Hi, CLI gurus...
I experience bug 12164 in Breezy, where Yelp will display a blank home
page, no entries to chose from. Looks like not many people have this
problem, and so far all attempts failed to fix the problem, so I am
trying to see what I can do.
I am trying to use strace and ltrace to see what Yelp is doing when
loading the home page, i the hope that I might find a clue in there.
I tried this command : "strace yelp > ~/yelp.strace "
It does start Yelp, and print loads of stuff in the terminal window, and
it does create the 'yelp.strace' file, but, once I quit Yelp/strace, and
go to have a look at the result, the text file is empty... zero byte :-/
I assume I got the syntax wrong, since I don't have a clue about the
bash, and only use 10+ year old memories from my MS-DOS 5.0 days... IOW,
not much ! :-/
What wold the syntax I shoul duse, so that strace does indeed print its
numerous messages in the intended text file ?
Thanks in advance ! :-)
