Okay fair enough, I apologize. Yesterday I said that I would wait 3
weeks before raising bug reports, my fault ;-)

Thank you :o) Usually when I fill crap bug reports, Sébastien is there
to correct me, maybe he sent you ?! ;o)
> Images could be of some help, but they tell us nothing new - you allready said everything in
> report.
Ah yes, it's because I am not a native English speaker, and don't
exactly have enough confidence in my writing skills (in particular,
vocabulary, and Linux specific terminology) to think that my textual
explanation suffices. So, often, I like to add a screen-shot to back my
textual description. If Bugzilla had an indicator saying "I got it now,
no need to go on", then surely, I would stop. I don't particularly enjoy
reporting bugs and working out screenshots, and if I could make the
reports shorter/attachments-less, I would happily do so, this would give
me more time to file.... more bug reports ! :o)
> You should provide outputs lshal, lsusb, mount, dmesg of
> relevant part after inserting your card, etc...
Sure, and how am I supposed to know that, unless the devs repoly to the
bug report to eask me the info they need to help figure it out ? I am
more than willing to help in every way I can... assuming I am told what
to do !!
> And tell us what distribution you use. Breezy? Warty?
Brezy of course. There is no point reporting this particular bug (if it
existed) on Warty or Hoary, as it's extremely unlikely that it would get
fixed, since it doesn't causes data loss or insecurity, which is the
mandatory requirement for updating stable releases IIRC.
> Beside that you should tell if you are running gnome-volume-manager
Again, how do I know what info the devs need, if they don't ask me for
it ? If I knew everything, I would be a developer, not a simple bug
reporter ! ;o)
> and explain why are you trying to mount allready mounted device.
??? The slot that has a memory card will NOT mount, THAT is precisely
the main point of the bug report !! ;-)
> You shouldn't mount devices with right click -> mount.
Huuu... what is the option doing there then, if one should not use it ??
You lost me...
> They should automount.
They DON'T... again, THAT is the problem !
> If they don't do that, then you aren't runing dbus, hal or
> gnome-volume-manager.
Great, what is hal, and dbus ? I reported a bug. I will gladly look at
whatever hal or dbus you want, if you ASK me so in the bugzilla ! How
can I guess what the devs need to have, if they don't tell me what I
need to look at exactly ??!!
> And please, understand that breezy is work in progress you can't expect
> every bug is resolved in same day you report it.
Yes, okay, I waited only 6 days, my mistake. It's just that I spend
maybe too much time on Breezy, trying to spot bubgs and reporting them,
so days feel like weeks for me at the moment... sorry.
I will try and wait 3 weeks, as I said yesterday, before raising my old
bugs. Please don't beat me Ante, please be nice with your Ubuntu
fellows... (and they will be nice with you ;-)
> Specially, when daily there are new packages.
Yes, Breezy is now 3 month old, half way in the release cycle, and the
upstream freeze is now being enforced. So I guess that starting from
now, Breezy will "settle" down a bit, and the devs can start fixing
things without fearing that they break again the next day ;o)
> And this is a bug for a device that's not standard.
Well, it works perfectly fine in Hoary, so it must be standard enough by
Ubuntu's standards I assume, hence why I can be expected to see it
working at least as well, in Breezy. Besides, what is a "standard" 4in1
USB card reader, is there one model that Ubuntu offically supports and
that we should all buy ? Same for USB stick, there is only one model
that people must buy ? ;-)
> I can't confirm it couse I don't have 4in1 reader. I'm preety sure that,
> when you provide information that I said few lines before, we will find

Ah, after a full page of beating (it still hurts ;o), we have at last
some very kind, helpful and constructive offer, thanks ! :o)
Okay, I will re-read you mail for the technical bits, and see what I can
find...
