First of all thanks for the lot's of replies!
Somebody asked, what I wanna do with grid-computing,....
So the thing I tried this weekend is to improve the performance of my
notebook's system. The main problem I've got is processor speed. So I
got some maschines and someties they run with easy tasks. But it can
also happen that I do video coding, etc. in which case one maschine
get's loaded a lot, while the other's up and running are more or less
idle. I hate to waste resources, I can't burn a CD without knowing it's
filled.
And so the idea came to my mind that it would be cool if I had a system
with distributes the load and so speed's up "hopefully" everything.
Somehow it's more or less an accademic request, because I don't know
when I got the time to set up a grid here, but sure it will happen
sometime and if it's only for the know how.
Thanks a lot,
Rainer
