Anjuta : where to get user's help ?

I eventually managed to get Anjuta to create a new project. Turns out I
had to install manually cvs, gnome-core-devel and build-essential. No
idea why Synaptic didn't install them as dependencies.

Anyway, being a newb, I now need to find help to overcome problems.
But WHERE ????

I followed the tutorial for the "Hello World" program, which was a good
starting point. But it was soooo outdated, that even this super simple
example didn't work out of the box !
I can't find any comprehensive, nevermind up to date/ relevant, material
anywhere in Anjuta or it's web site.
On their site (www.anjuta.org) the user's mailing list, according to
their archives, gets about one message every 3 days ! IOW, it's
dead/useless.

Does that mean that Anjuta is so intuitive and stable/bug free, that
nobody ever has the slightest problem with it ? If so, how come I DO
have problems... ;o) :-/ :o(

Please help :o(
