Goofed up my video drivers. No X - Solved

I installed xbase-clients and xserver-common and was then able to use startx
to get to the GUI.
Several programs had been deleted. I had to reinstall GDM. Some games were
deleted but their data file
packages were still installed.

I'm not sure what caused all this but It looks like I am working again.
