PCMCIA Firewire Adapter

I'm currently using my 60GB iPod Photo (random vendor prize at
LinuxWorld!) as an external drive for my old Toshiba Satellite Pro
4600 laptop, as well as for listening to music. It's currently
connecting via USB, and works great, other than being entirely too
slow.

I'm completely impressed at how easily Ubuntu handled automounting the
iPod, and even let me do write operations on it without changing its
filesystem from HFS+ to FAT. Slick!

A friend has a USB firewire adapter that he let me try on my laptop,
but I couldn't get the iPod to mount via it. It's a Belkin F5U512,
and is one of the ones on the PCMCIA Supported Device List
(http://pcmcia-cs.sourceforge.net/ftp/SUPPORTED.CARDS).

I'm wondering if anyone on this list has a recommended PCMCIA firewire
card that they know works with Ubuntu, and would care to share.

(For the record, my friend couldn't get the Belkin card working on his
SuSE rig, either).

Thanks,
