Intel 82865G graphic prroblem

I got a new HP Compaq d240 TW built in with Mandrake  Linux.  The main
reason for getting this machine in the first place was driver
compatability. When i installed Ubuntu on it, I can only get 800x600
reso. I went to HP.com site and they only have Windws drivers... What in
the world... $%@#!!!

so i ran lspci and got Intel Corp. 82865G/PE/P DRAM Controller/Host-Hub
Interface (rev 02)

anyone as an idea on how to fix this?
