I would put in a bug report about that! We should be able to do such things!

Isn't that one of the many features MS will be shipping with Longhorn ? Something about the "Vapour Ware Protocol" I believe .... Virtual CDs, in virtual players, using virtual codecs and of course, Digital Rights Management as an added Feature...
